Supergrip supplied 3-off 3″NS Pipeline Flushing Plugs on a 2 week delivery schedule for one of the worlds largest exploration and production (E&P) companies.

The subject pipelines were located subsea and our client had a requirement to purge the line following decommissioning prior to recovery.

The plugs were designed to seal and hold a differential pressure of 70 bar.g.

Supergrip director Darren Blackburn said “We were only able to achieved this fast track delivery schedule due to our in-house manufacturing capability. We did everything on the project with the exception of the coating process ourselves. To meet the clients requirements we prioritised this project in our workshop and worked extended production hours. Client representatives witnessed the factory acceptance testing and the finished products together with all installation tooling delivered direct to the vessel within 2 weeks of receiving the purchase order. We are very pleased to demonstrate this capability to a large O&G company and we are confident further opportunities will present themselves”.
