The Fast-Lok boltless bend restrictor was developed by Supergrip in 2015 to offer both commercial and installation savings over traditional 6-bolt bend restrictor systems.

The Fast-Lok is a castellated design with two identical hinge and lock pins. This has been proven to reduce installation time by 80% on traditional 6-bolt systems. In practise this saving is increased as typical superduplex fasteners are prone to galling which then requires a cutting operation. The Fast-Lok doesnt have any bolts, nuts and washers and has no requirement for a detailed torque controlled tightening process. Lengths can be supplied pre-assembled. All that is required is for the umbilical to be laid into the bend restrictor train and for each individual knuckle to be hinged closed and the locking pin engaged – a quick, simple and field proven installaltion.

Supergrip also provide all tooling for the installation.

Since its inception the Fast-Lok has now been successfully installed on over 25 projects worldwide with designs supplied to suit umbilical diameters ranging from 25mm to 250mm and bending moments from 5kNm to in excess of 100kNm.
