As with every business, the last few months has presented challenges that we have never experienced before.
Going into the lockdown mid-March, our aim at Supergrip was to protect our workforce and to provide business continuity to our clients.
We are pleased to say that through the diligence and commitment of our team we have been able to maintain a full business operation.
We were in a fortunate position in that we went into the lockdown period with a healthy order book.
By modifying our working practices both in the engineering office and the workshop we have been able to operate at full capacity
Supergrip can also confirm that in the last ten working days we have been awarded a number of contracts exceeding a total order value of £300,000.
Gordon Conlon, director at Supergrip, said, “Despite the challenging economic and operational period that we have all gone through, we are happy to say that Supergrip continues to go from strength to strength. We posted record-breaking financial figures for our last year of trading up to February 2020 and in the following four months of operation, we have already recorded a backlog in excess of £2million. I’d like to pay tribute to our entire workforce, clients, and suppliers who have all adopted a new normal way of working. It is certainly different but it’s showing that we can get through this together”.
“We have been taking many meetings by Teams and Zoom and even performing Factory Acceptance Tests via video conferencing. We have also still been able to support live ongoing projects with two of our engineers being offshore assisting with supervision during the installation of equipment supplied”
“There is no doubt that our name and reputation within the industry is growing for supplying quality, innovative, and bespoke equipment. This is reflected in the contracts that we have been awarded this financial year. The orders are for equipment from right across our product range including J-Tube Seals and bend restrictors, specialist cable installation clamping systems, ROV installed cable protection equipment, and our next generation pipe in pipe waterstop seals. There are also a number of other exciting opportunities that we are currently in discussions with and we hope to make a further announcement within the next quarter. In the meantime, over the next couple of weeks, we will be sharing some of the products and projects that we have completed within this period”
