Supergrip have successfully supplied three J-Tube Seals and Fast-Lok Boltless Bend Restrictor Assemblies on the FAXP Project.
The equipment was supplied by our client together with the umbilicals to McDermott for installation on the Rasgas FAXP facility offshore Qatar.
The design of the J-Tube Seal met the unique client requirements and was unique in that the assembly was installed topside onto the umbilical and activated subsea by divers. Each assembly incorporated Supergrip dual seal system for increased sealing capability and was capable of being reset and reactivated subsea, should the umbilical position need to be reset post pull in.
Supergrips director Gordon Conlon said “ We are delighted to work with our client again to deliver another successful project. All parties involved worked very closely together throughout the design, manufacturing and testing stages to ensure the project objectives were achieved. I’d like to thank everyone involved throughout process for their attitude and assistance which ensured this was a very enjoyable project for us to work on. This is another demonstration of Supergrips capability to deliver bespoke designs that are fully manufactured in-house and well project managed. The Fast-Lok boltless bend restrictor is going from strength to strength with the commercial and installation advantages being there for all to see”.
