Supergrip Covid-19 Statement | Safety of our people & open for business

Further to the UK Prime Minister’s announcement 4th January 2021 regarding new National Restrictions1, We would like us to be clear on what this means for Supergrip and our global customers.

Firstly, the health, safety and wellbeing of all people within Supergrip is and has always been our utmost priority. Since March 2020, we have implemented several covid-secure protocols that the business has fully adapted to. These include strict social distancing, the wearing of masks, regular hand washing and strict housekeeping hygiene.

During the Prime Minister’s announcement, 4th January 2021, the British population was instructed to stay at home and leave only for a defined set of “reasonable excuses” which can be found here.

One such reason is to “leave home for work purposes where it is unreasonable for you to do your job from home, including but not limited to people who work within critical national infrastructure, construction or manufacturing that require in-person attendance.”

Therefore, as manufacturers of engineered products serving critical energy industries such as oil, gas, offshore & renewables we remain open for business and continue to operate our UK manufacturing plants with production & support teams where work cannot be reasonably completed from home, as required to support our strong order book and global customer base.

Our people who can reasonably work from home are doing so. Supergrip divisions have invested heavily in remote working tools to ensure business continuity and communication channels remain unaffected while working from home.
