Supergrip are delighted to confirm that they have been awarded a £1.7million contract for the supply of hardware for a major BP project based in the Caspian Sea. The contract is for a global Engineering, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning (EPIC) company within the oil and gas industry which is Supergrip’s largest contract to date.
Gordon Conlon, Director at Supergrip, said “With our manufacturing and project management capability, this year we have focused on adding the supply of hardware to our product and service offering. We are thrilled to be awarded this prestigious contract and look forward to working together with our client throughout the execution phase. The supply will see us manufacture and test a wide range of fabricated and machined hardware as well as procuring specialist equipment including winches, tensioners and bearings”
“These are exciting times for us at Supergrip. Since we rebranded in 2015, the company is experiencing significant growth. This contract helps us to progress this development further. 2019 has already been a very good year and the award of this contract, together with several other ongoing projects for hardware and subsea related equipment, guarantees that the business will be posting record breaking figures at our financial year end. However, we believe that there are further opportunities available to us as we go into 2020. Throughout this year we have been working on two R&D projects that received business funding assistance. We are excited about the potential of both products, with the first product about to be launched within the next month”.
Darren Blackburn, Director at Supergrip, commented, “We have worked closely with our client throughout the tender process over the course of a three month period. To be awarded the contract is a reward for the diligent work put in by the team to provide the optimum solution to what is an extensive scope of supply. We are delighted how the hardware side of the business is developing with a number of contracts already being completed successfully with excellent client feedback. Our goal now is to continue the growth of the business by developing products and new market sectors.”
