Supergrip have successfully completed the engineering, manufacturing and testing of 2-off ROV Installed Blind Flange.
The systems were of a bespoke design to provide a retrofit subsea installation blind flange replacement.
Both identical assemblies were designed to suit a 10” NS ANSI-150 flanged interface and pressure tested to 29.5 bar.g
Sheldon Jeffrey, project manager at Supergrip said “This is good example of how our engineering experience and production capability together, can assist clients on bespoke fast track applications. We have excellent experience of ROV activated systems over many years. A full design concept was presented to the client during the tender phase and following contract award we engineered and manufactured both assemblies on a quick turnaround basis. The design was also subjected to third party design verification. During all qualification tests the equipment perfomed superbly. As well as the sealing system and required ROV interface mechanism for installation and removal, the flanges were fitted with cathodic protection for the full design life of the product. As part of the supply we also provided Dust Cap used to prevent debris ingress into an open pipe but without any sealing requirement”.
